About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer (GM/COO) to lead its prestigious country club. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the club, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service and maintaining the club's high standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, efficient daily operation of the club, engaging with members of all generations, and upholding the club's rich history and traditions. The GM/COO will work closely with the Board of Directors and committees, oversee all aspects of the club's facilities, and be actively involved in the strategic direction and vision of the club. Candidates for the GM/COO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a hospitality environment, preferably within a member-owned club. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in managing a diverse range of amenities, strong financial acumen, and the ability to engage with members and employees at the highest level. A background in golf and a solid understanding of the game and its history are highly valued, given the club's focus on championship golf. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, charismatic leader with a commitment to quality and a strong network within the golf and hospitality industry. Educational qualifications should ideally include a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, and industry certifications are encouraged.
