As a Security Professional - Armed Utility Patrol in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. As this is an armed and driving post, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle while on patrol. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter, both inside and outside the facility.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents within the utility environment.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and potential threats to the location.
• Communicate with site personnel and law enforcement as required during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
