Base pay range $112,869.12/yr - $145,117.44/yr Employment Type Full-Time, Experienced Department Information Technology Job Description CGS is seeking a Systems Integration/Account Management Engineer to join our team responsible for maintaining an accurate software portfolio inventory. Skills and Attributes for Success Maintain inventory records including owner, software name, license information, and period of performance in coordination with Configuration Management practices. Ensure software is identified, controlled, and properly cared for throughout its lifecycle. Promote software functionality analysis/comparisons to avoid duplicative software purchases. Manage software deployment to avoid over-deployment. Ensure software acceptance and licensing compliance. Plan for software license renewal in support of Configuration Management practices. Apply continuous improvement strategies in technology spending and asset tracking. Support management of the CMDB, ensuring its accuracy. Support configuration management practices for hardware and software assets, including versioning and dependencies. Manage inventory of CIs and assets, ensuring modifications, withdrawals, and additions are correctly recorded. Support lifecycle management of hardware and software until retirement. Generate and distribute reports on asset compliance and status. Perform verification and audits of CMDB content. Verify software assets with license contracts and hardware assets with actual inventory, initiating corrective actions as needed. Manage license compliance audits and respond to software vendor requests. Implement process efficiencies through KPIs and suggest improvements. Design, execute, and enhance asset management processes. Maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports. Participate in other ITSM processes or act as backup for operational activities. Create and execute governance and strategic asset management functions. Research industry best practices and incorporate them into organizational practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant experience. Experience with ITIL and configuration management best practices. Experience managing and maintaining a software library, including SLAs and warranties. Experience working with various software vendors and licensing models. Preferred Qualifications Project management experience.
